Press Release:
Mississippi Company Has Unique Product To Personalize Email Addresses

Following a 1995 volcanic eruption that eventually decreased its population from 11,000 to 7,000 through forced evacuation, and in an attempt to raise needed funds, the Caribbean Island of Montserrat opened a window of opportunity for a Corinth Internet Company by deciding to allow its country code, MS, to be used by anyone worldwide. Corinth’s AOKmail, LLC, has leased all of the 130 Mississippi city names that it owns to Dixie-Net Communications, Mississippi’s 2nd largest Internet Service Provider. Dixie-Net is proud to be the sole provider for someone to have his/her name, city, and state all in their email address.

Montserrat’s country code and Mississippi’s abbreviation are both MS. When DotCOM and DotNET were created, every country was assigned its own two-letter designation to use as it wished. A few countries, including Montserrat, elected to allow individuals access to their country’s domain without being residents, providing an outstanding alternative to the more generic Internet domain names.

The MS domain is accepted worldwide with all the rights and privileges of DotCOM, DotNET, and DotORG. DotMS works with all local and nationwide Internet Service Providers. Mississippians are now afforded the opportunity to have fantastic, personalized email addresses.

The two products that are being offered in Mississippi are: a city-specific email address (i.e. www.Jack@Tupelo.MS)

.ms Cities Available -

and a general address (i.e. JacksBusiness.MS).

Individuals wishing to subscribe to the city portion (i.e. Jack@Tupelo.MS) of the product may call 1-800-918-9023, contact your nearest Dixie-Net office, or send an email to info@dixie-net.com. Those wishing to purchase a DotMS domain may do so by logging on to www.magnoliadomains.ms.
